About the Course
This two-day advanced HR and workplace violence (WPV) program is designed to provide in-depth training to managers and employees related to strategic human resources, occupational health & safety, workplace violence prevention, and threat management.
The curriculum covers the different types and levels of violence employees may encounter in the work environment as well as behavioral threat assessment and management strategies. Additionally, the program covers material on employee coping, legal implications, the impact of WPV on organizational and worker performance, as well as WPV prevention techniques.
The self-protection segment provides employees with easy to learn self-defense skills to defend against common ambush style attacks such as: punches, headlocks, chokes, bear-hugs, knife attacks, and gun threats. This segment also covers techniques to administer basic medical care to victims of mass casualty events. The techniques are thoroughly taught so movements are ingrained in the participants muscle memory, making it more practical in a stressful encounter.Â
Corporate packages are available.
Attendees receive a "Human Resource and Workplace Violence Prevention" workbook.
