Dr. Haymore is a recognized leader in workplace violence prevention, occupational health and safety, and strategic human resource management. His training initiatives are designed to integrate employee safety with sound HR practices and leadership development.  John’s areas of expertise include human performance technology (HPT), workplace violence prevention (WVPP), environmental, health, and safety (EHS), and behavioral threat assessment and management (BTAM). John has extensive experience working with diverse organizations in sectors such as healthcare, science, manufacturing, government, engineering, aerospace & defense, energy, education, and nonprofit.

John earned his Ph.D. in Human Resource Development (HRD) with a specialization in Organization Development and Change (ODC) from the Soules College of Business at The University of Texas, Tyler. He earned an MBA in Management as well as multiple professional certifications including WVTS, PHR, SHRM-CP, OSHA-30, TECC, and MHFA. John is a Certified Firearms Instructor and actively trains in mixed martial arts. He provides corporate self-defense training, firearms safety, and workplace violence preparedness.

 

Dr. Haymore is an active member of the Association of Threat Assessment Professionals (ATAP), the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM), the National Association of Emergency Medical Technicians (NAEMT), and the Academy of Human Resource Development (AHRD). In addition to consulting, he also serves as the MSHRM Program Director, SHRM Faculty Advisor, and Assistant Professor at Troy University.
